Career Accelerator Program Overview

Creating opportunities through technology is what we do; it’s not who we are. We believe everyone, especially now, needs a champion, needs to be seen, needs to feel heard, and needs to be believed in. It’s time to embrace change, transform the way we work, and intentionally create a future with opportunity in abundance.

With this in mind, we knew it was important to create a new program that would create an opportunity to accelerate growth by accelerating the learning and professional development of our in-house Change Agents and/or outside applicants.

The initiative is a Career Accelerator Program in which a limited number of selected candidates are trained by business leaders (Mentors) throughout the company to learn various business functions and skills. The program is managed by our People Lead in Human Resources (Program Manager).

Hired candidates join each team on a temporary and rotational basis to learn how a business function operates and to gain a better understanding of the value each function offers the company. Candidates gain hands-on experience by working alongside team members, performing special tasks, contributing to selected projects, and/or temporarily filling vacant positions. This program is designed to enhance and develop the knowledge, skills and abilities of participants by educating them in other programs and different types of work in order to facilitate development and growth of our workforce.

Program Length

It is anticipated that work assignments in this program will typically run for three to four months, however, two assignments may run in parallel depending on business needs. The length of the Accelerator Program may be up to 12 months, and participants may be asked to assist in areas of the business they have previously rotated through during peak periods.

Program Conclusion

The successful completion of this program will create either an opportunity for a potential promotion into a new position or the option to fully transition into the HR Specialist role. Based on an assessment of the business needs and career goals of the candidate, the Program Manager will determine the most appropriate role going forward.

  • Robust communication skills and technical aptitude
  • Success driven - Able to succeed in a high-volume, fast paced environment without sacrificing attention to detail, accuracy and follow-through
  • Problem solving - Able to exercise sound judgment and decision making
  • Demonstrates ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
  • Positive minded, a quick learning self-starter
  • Team player - Able to collaborate effectively with others and coordinate available resources
  • 1-2 years experience and/or interest in any of the functional areas listed
  • Internship experience a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Self motivated and comfortable working from home
  • Resides in the NY Tri-State area
