The VP of Marketplace Sales is a member of Jitjatjo’s senior leadership team, reports to the CEO, and is accountable for generating marketplace demand and achieving revenue targets nationally.

Additionally, the VP of Marketplace Sales is responsible for strategy, implementation, reporting actuals vs. budget for Sales KPIs, and continuous improvement of Jitjatjo’s Sales and Client Success functions.


Drive aggressive growth and revenue performance across multiple lines of business and multiple geographic markets throughout the United States:

  • Lead and develop the Sales team – establish goals, metrics and processes consistent with achieving/exceeding acquisition, growth, and retention targets.
  • Bring battle-tested Sales methodologies to the company that support our strategic objectives and product-driven culture.
  • Recruit, coach, mentor, retain and nurture exceptional Sales Reps and Client Success Managers—creating a deep bench to ensure the company’s ability to hit targets.

Lead from the front – motivate and inspire the team:

  • Personally develop strategic client relationships and coach the revenue team on client prospecting, sales, growth, and retention strategies.
  • Identify solutions for clients that increase demand through objective analysis (including; mapping client success journeys, implementing engagement campaigns, and leveraging data analytics to produce actionable insights).

Implement sales management processes – based on analysis of measurable results:

  • Implement processes and analytics that accurately report on sales pipelines and progress towards targets for each member of the revenue team.
  • Monitor day-to-day sales operations and produce monthly productivity & pipeline reports.
  • Develop long-range demand plans and budgets, compensation plans, and incentive programs that drive/accelerate marketplace performance and meet targets set by Executive Management.

Be the voice – of the client, and the marketplace:

  • Ensure frictionless communication between the sales & client success team and marketing, growth operations, human resources, and product teams.
  • Provide market feedback to product development regarding opportunities to accelerate growth through features, functionality, and enhancements.
  • Identify market opportunities to leverage Jitjatjo’s capabilities in new categories, verticals, and territories.
  • Create and maintain a best in class client experience through best practice support strategies, self-service resources, and response time targets

Work closely with CEO, CFO and senior management – on strategies to radically grow revenue:

  • Evolve and implement performance-based compensation models for demand-generating employees.
  • Refine platform referral and incentive programs and mechanics to optimize cross-platform network effects and growth trajectory.
  • Design and implement commercial models for Jitjatjo’s expanding product suite.


  • 10+ years experience managing & growing successful sales teams, preferably in a staffing environment
  • 5+ years experience in high-volume hospitality staffing, recruiting, or contingent labor
  • Tech savvy and passionate about the productivity benefits technology can provide
  • Experience working in a start-up and/or high-growth company preferred
  • Successful history of exceeding revenue targets and developing exceptional sales talent
  • Exceptional communication skills, verbal, written, and presentation
  • Willing and able to travel (~20% of time) to major metros in open markets
  • Hands-on leadership style with a proven track record of developing and closing sales opportunities
